Ghana’s national armwrestling team, the Golden Arms, has received a major boost ahead of the 14th Africa Armwrestling Championship set to take place in Abuja, Nigeria next week. Multiple institutions have responded to the Ghana Armwrestling Federation’s call for support, offering insurance, funding, logistics, and gear to ensure successful participation.
GLICO Life Insurance has stepped in with comprehensive travel insurance for the contingent, covering both the Africa Championship and the upcoming World Armwrestling Championship in Bulgaria. This gesture underscores the growing corporate confidence in armwrestling’s potential and impact.
In addition, The Hope Brand (THB), recently named official kit sponsor, has delivered stylish performance kits that will debut at the competition, reinforcing the team’s identity on the continental stage.

Ghana Eyes Victory Again
